Alright... now it´s time to think about Christmas... my most stressing day ever was yesterday when I was a produsent for our live TV show that we (my class) shot. I was the bos that day and had to have everything under control, had 4 cameras to look at at once, decide the framing and when to edit between them... But it´s over now and I´m pretty happy. The show in total is very nice, I think I did my job OK all though I know there are few things I could have done better. But this was my first time ever so misstakes are to learn from them. :p Now I know how this works, and I like it. But for the next few days I´m going to relax, finally, start think about Christmas and Christmas gifts, clean and but up some Christmas stuff... These few days before Christmas will be nice. :)
Now about Iceland and Christmas.
Jólasveinar (Icelandic Santa clause) first appear in the 17th century as the sons of Grýla og Lebbalúði, who had appeared in the 13th century, and had a reputation for stealing and eating naughty children. The Jólasveinar were counted as numbering either nine or thirteen, but their names are at least 70.Thirteen of the most commonly accepted names of the Jólasveinar are:
11. Dec. Stekkjastaur - Enclosure Post
12. Dec. Giljagaur - Crevice Imp

14. Dec. Þvörusleikir - Pot Scraper Licker
15. Dec. Pottasleikir - Pot Licker
16. Dec. Askasleikir - Bowl Licker
17. Dec. Hurðaskellir - Door Slammer
18. Dec. Skyrgámur - Skyr Gobbler(Skyr, an Icelandic yoghurt)
19. Dec. Bjúgnakrækir - Sausage Snatcher
20. Dec. Gluggagægir - Window Peeper
21. Dec. Gáttaþefur - Doorway Sniffer

Found this very interesting thing when I was surging the web... A man from New York is talking about Iceland... :) He is explaining to people how live is there/here. ;) hehe...
"There are a few things you should probably know about Reykjavik before you see this movie. It's not really very cold, for one thing. Sitting out at the end of the Gulf Stream, it has very temperate weather, rarely above 72F (20C) in summer and typically around 30F (-2C) in winter. You could probably get by in a sweater most of the year, at least in the city. (Far away from the city, in the uninhabited middle of the country, you'll find a couple of active volcanoes and the largest glacier in Europe.) For another thing, it's an amazingly alcoholic place. When we were there, beer (well, weak beer, anyway) was sold in soda machines. People drink until they pass out in public, especially when getting primed for 3-day weekends (bank holidays), and it's not considered shameful -- their more conscious drunken friends just help carry them to the bus/airplane/car. People line up around the block to get into discos, even in the summer when it's light 22 hours a day. These people party hearty. If this seems like a conflict with what is supposed to be a predominantly Lutheran country, it might be, but nobody seems to let it bother them too much. But, back to the movie..."

And, what do you think? You think this is true? Well most of it I agree on but not with the wearing a sweater most of the year. That isn´t true. :p And the light beer. That pore man, he wasn´t drinking beer it´s only 2% alcohol (alcohol is just sold in special storse) and you couldn´t get drunk by it except drinking like a hole tub of it or something... :p yebb think that´s it! ;) interesting...
