Tourists! Yesterday I had to go to the air port to pick up some tourists. They were coming here for a Red cross youth meeting called Nordic Baltic that is over the weekend. Me and my friend tried to inform them a little bit about Iceland. Why it´s called Iceland, and why Reykjavík is called Reykjavík, and how big the Island is etc. (I felt very smart cause I could talk and talk about this, and knew much more than my friend, who was almost back in history class :p) (there is always a story behind almost all names in Iceland). These tourists didn´t know very much about things here, and really told us that when they asked "What light is that in the sky? What is it?" We were driving in the dark and cold, windy weather. And all we could see were the lights for the road, than we looked up in the sky. "Oh, yes these are the Northern lights." The tourist weren´t sure what we were talking about, cause the newer heard of such things. So we had to tell that this was very special thing up here in the north. :p And when we dropped them off at the hostel I showed the some very postcards of the northern lights. And they were so stunned by al the nature here, that they saw on the postcard. And ofcouse we played the game on the way to the city, "if it wouldn´t be dark you would see a very beautiful landscape, like lava. It´s just like the moon the first 30 minutes you are driving in Iceland :p Yes, this was the story of the two tourist I picked up yesterdays evening...

Had a movie night last night. Saw a movie I would normally not see. It´s a horror / drama / Mystery / Thriller film but not this tippical American "boo" I scared you. This one is some thing else, this on is called "A tale of two sisters" and is from South Korea. I don´t know were to start to tell you about it, the plot and the story is very good, and this is a film you have to see twice so you can get it. It´s just beautifull. (Taglines; "Our sorrow was conceived long before our birth", "Every family has its dark secrets." "Fairytales have never been this Grimm").

This place hasn´t change a bit, well I´ve just been gone for a month but still, never know. Went down town this morning, yes this morning, believe it or not I woke up a 8 am cause I had a meeting with a lady that is working for the Red cross and she wanted to know about my camp this summer. So my life is busy again. And it was so nice to be down town this morning, every thing so nice and quite. But my trip back home was alright, but little bit strange to be back. And my friends were so happy to see me again, oh Maria, miss you, and miss this and that... :p I slept a Thursday cause I hadn´t slept for over 24 hours. Than I had a birthday party to go to and Friday when in sleeping too. Than on Saturday it was time to leave Reykjavík and drive to my family's place, 2 hour drive from Reykjavík to South Iceland). There we had a small family reunion and me and Anna slept in a small tent with the dog. It was very windy and cold, and almost too cold, but I made it. Slept in all my warm cloths, little bit different from Chicago. And on Sunday my grandma was back from her trip and celebrated her 80th birthday with family. That was very nice, and I had to much food... :p Yes, that´s about it... will write later on my USA trip, going to focus on my iPod now and all the music I have, thank you Mick for the songs, I´m so happy :)And for you, there is an Icelandic band Sigur Ros with concerts in Chicago in September, check it out. ;) or this... one of this is free and the CD is called "Takk" some of you should know what that means ;)
