A wonderful night and a day is over. Last night I went to party at my friends house, they were few but good people there. And I met my friend that I havn´t seen since she said good bye to me few days before I left (to USA). So I saw here and that was so great. :)
Well, we found out that because the weather had been so bad it was going to be really really nice tomorrow (today). So we decided to go on our first winter trip the next day. So at 10 o´clock I woke up after 4 hour sleep ready to hit the rode. And so we did, me and my friends went together on their jeep and took a nice tour in the highland :) I´m so tired now after al that snow, walk and frost (-15°C) and I had forgotten how bad feeling it´s when your tows get too cold and the paine when they are heating up again is afoul. :s :( But I´m now at home :) hoping that Iris will cal from Germany so I can wish her a happy new year!
Last night was so great. I had forgotten how crazy Icelanders get over the new year! They go mad, the ski is full of fire works for over a hour. And now I understand why tourists come specially to Iceland over the new year to see this. It´s unbelievable! And I just say, thank god that the bad weather we had earlier that evening was gone. The ski was clear and it was just windy. In every neighborhood there is a big fire. People go over there after dinner and before the comedie show starts. But this year they (the people who take´s care of it) canceled it because of weather. Just like many things this holiday. Icelanders havn´t really been lucky with the weather. A lot of snow everywhere (I think that is fine) windy, even storms, but it´s also dangerous, few avalanches have fallen to day on few roads but luckily no one was there... But enought of this...
Go and take a look of some pic´s :)
Pictures from the new years eve are here...

UN-BELIV-ABLE! UNBELIEVABLE!
Last day of this year! It´s now or never, can´t chance what has happened. But to night there is a a chance of change that. The new years eve promises about next year will be better etc. ;) just go for it!
This year new year will be very nice. Good dinner with my family, grandma is going to come over and spend the night with us and sleep over. Than at 22:25 the annual comedy show will start. The show every one watches, Icelandic comedians will make fun of everything that has happened in Iceland this year. ;) It´s always fun. And than ca. 15 minutes to 24:00 everyone will go out side and start shooting fire works. We have already bought few (I hope/assume) but I usually go up on the roof of my house and site there and watch everyone else shoot up and burn there money... :p (but it´s for the good cause the rescuteems sell the fire works and the money for it is the only money they get to run there big cars, al the expensive equitment etc.) I think Iceland is one of few countries in the world were everyone go crazy and the ski is full of alkinds of fire works. IT´s so cool... lot of tourists come just to see it... (I´ll hopefully take some pics to night, and show you...) But there is one thing about to night. We are expecting strom. It´ll be worst on the south and west side the wind will me 35m/sec. and snow so no one will be able to travel in the city. But we´ll see and hope it wont be as bad as they say... And than it´s party party party!!! :)
My dear friends, thanks for the last year and hope that your new one will be good.

Ironic
I got my Visa check to day and on the envelope said "Merry Christmas". Huh, well they were merry until I got my Visa check. And than later to day I saw a TV ad and than they wished me Merry Christmas again and a happy new year! Huh, I don´t think that next year will be a happy one, doesn´t start very well with al these bills left to pay. And at that moment the Christmas spirit was gone with the wind, or maybe it drowned in al the paper flowed that came with the visa check.
Christmas what?

So it´s Christmas... ...another year over...
Yes, Christmas is still here and not leaving us yet but this great year 2004 is and hopefully 2005 will be as good as this year.
Christmas was very nice this year, I had a nice time with family and friends, lot of good food and vine :) Christmas eve was like the usual one, church at 6 o´clock, food, gifts and more food. Christmas day was the same, family gathering at grandma's, food and few more gifts. :) Second day of Christmas was also the same, just chillin´at home, reading books, sleeping, trying al the new Christmas stuff etc. and than the annual Christmas card playing at my friends house. We alway go there in the evening to play the new bored (don´t think this is the right word) game (there is always a new game every year) and this time it was a question game. I´m so bad in these games, I just can´t think fast when I have to think about numbers, who that man is and this man were etc. And we had a lot of fun last night, didn´t go home until 6 o´clock in the morning... Yes that´s how Christmas is spent in Iceland. And talking about Iceland, have to tell you this...
Iceland the small, cold island in the north. Island of very few habitants who makes world records every "day" if you compare it to person per habitant. Than we are the most happiest people per habitant, most depressed people per habitant, we eat the most sugar in the world-per habitant etc. (hope you get the joke ;) but to every joke there is meaning and a serious one. But what I was going to say was a story about the small population in the north. This story was told by my uncle, and from his own exspriation. ,,Onceapona time in the great great past when people were smaller than we are to day..." No this was just a joke :p Ok here it´s... At the north side of the country is a town called Húsavík, the population is around 2500. It´s a small and friendly town and just like any other small town´s this one is just like them. It´s town were everyone knows each other... My uncle´s wife/girlfriend/or whatever... is from that town and her parents live there. So one summer they were visiting her family and my uncle needed something and had to make a delivery that came from Reykjavík (the capital). The day that the delivery was so posed to come came but nothing happened. The next day he went to the post office and asked for the package. He found out why it didn´t arrived to his house. He is not listed as a resident in that house and nobody knew his name so this delivery from Reykjavík wasn´t right... :D And another story was told about a woman that was non-alcoholic woman (don´t know the fancy name for it in English). It was around Christmas time and she was making cookies. She needed a liquor from Reykjavík (as we cal it "from the south" but sounds much better in Icelandi ,,að sunnan") so she ordered one bottle of some special kind (sherry). When it came to the post office the people there sended it back cause it just couldn´t be right that the non-alcoholic woman was ordering a liquor. Yes, small places, they are always fun, but don´t think I could ever live there.
Wonderful weather in Reykjavík just now. Cold and snowing out side :) and no wind.
It´s getting late and I have to go to sleep so I wount get sick... (have a little cold...)
Hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas...
